Hey out there,
it is hiking time. Soon we will spend two days wandering through the beautiful nature of black forest, stay the night at a mountain farm and taste a lot of local specialties.

This is not a party trip! We will be outside walking for most of the day and then spend the evening sitting together at the farm on Saturday and visiting a museum on Sunday.
You don't need to be an experienced hiker for this trip, but reasonably good condition and firm footwear would be helpful. We will walk about 18 -19 km a day. Also keep in mind that although the mountains in this part of Schwarzwald are not particularly high, hiking does usually involve going up and down some mountains.
Please be aware that this is an outdoor event. It might be muddy, it might be wet and it might be exhausting and it definitely will be a great experience :)

The registration for tickets to this trip will be open until Sunday, 04.07. 10 p.m. . The registration is open for everyone, but there will be priority for incoming exchange students. Places are very limited and we will try to distribute them fairly, but unfortunately we won't be able to take everyone. You will get an E-Mail the same night telling you if you got a spot, after which you have to pay with a payment link.

Tickets will be 35€ (way below cost price, since we expect some funding) including transportation, overnight stay at the farm with rich German breakfast (from buffet), entry to the open-air museum on Sunday with guided tour and of course the obligatory Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte + coffee at the end of the trip.

The farm we are going to sleep at is equipped for having guests, you don't have to bring a sleeping bag or similar. But still, it is not a hotel. We will sleep in dorms which are, let's say, cosy. Also, up there they might not be equipped for all forms of food intolerances, please ask about that before the trip, if it affects you.
