As every year, ESN Karlsruhe organizes the legendary city trip to Hamburg. On this three day trip, we will explore the big, old hanseatic city up in the north of Germany. The city’s history dates back more than 1000 years and a part of the old harbor, the Speicherstadt, is recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. However, besides the old part, Hamburg is also a very modern city with the newly built Elbphilharmonie or HafenCity area. For Hamburg, the port and a maritime lifestyle are very important. Much of the city life is directed towards to sea, which leads to a very international atmosphere. When is comes to partying, Hamburgers, as people from Hamburg are called, really know how to do it. The legendary Reeperbahn, a unique combination of red light district and party area, and the Schanzenviertel are just two examples of great night life locations!
